This new nitrocellulose is a recreation of the lacquer used by Fender and Gibson throughout the 1960s. The formulation has been modified by removing plasticizers to increase its rigidity, resulting in a varnish that easily achieves a more natural and vintage look.<\/p>\n

The main advantage over other nitrocellulose lacquers is its rapid evaporation and fusion between layers, allowing for a more noticeable gloss effect and greater wood vibration.<\/p>\n

– Before starting the process, the surface must be properly prepared. The grain must be filled and sealed beforehand.<\/p>\n

– Start by lacquering the sides first, then move on to the front and back faces.<\/p>\n

– Movements should be linear<\/strong>, first horizontal and then vertical, and you should not overload the surface.<\/p>\n

– The product should be applied from a distance of about 25 cm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– For best results, the temperature at the application site should be between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How many spray cans do I need to lacquer my guitar?<\/h4>\n

This will depend on the thickness of the layers and your skill with the spray. If it is your first project, I recommend using 2 spray cans for an optimal finish. If you are more experienced, one may be enough.<\/p>\n

Once the guitar returns to room temperature, you can repeat the freezing process using the Freezing Spray<\/a> + Relic Patina<\/a>. With this process, you can achieve more pronounced checking in specific areas of the guitar, allowing you to slightly customize the final relic effect.<\/p>\n
