Our vintage-inspired colors<\/h2>\n

Nitorlack colors are based on the original Fender and Gibson<\/strong> colors. The creation of these colors is preceded by a great work and exhaustive study by our laboratory and technical department. Thanks to this we have been able to \u00a0recreate with fidelity the tones of the Fender and Gibson guitars\u00a0 of the 50’s and 60’s.<\/p>\n

During those years up to the present day it should be noted that the colors of vintage guitars<\/strong> have varied greatly over the years due to the aging of the nitrocellulose lacquer<\/strong> and modifications in the colors of the brands.<\/p>\n

Therefore, two guitars finished in 1960 with fender colors may be totally different from each other or from a more current guitar.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”83310″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Implementation guide:<\/h3>\n

  • We start to apply the colour once the guitar has been dipped in Nitorlack Primer.<\/li>\n
  • When we start the painting work, the pores must be closed and the grain must not be marked.<\/li>\n
  • Apply the product either by spray or spray gun at a distance of about 25 cm.<\/li>\n
  • When applying we must follow a pattern of application, first horizontally and then vertically, applying the paint evenly.<\/li>\n
  • Apply several coats, letting them dry for about 24 hours and sanding between them to remove any remaining impurities.<\/li>\n
  • This work shall be completed when the surface is completely smooth and free of imperfections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    How many sprays do I need to varnish a guitar?<\/h4>\n

    – If the surface is well coated and it is not your first project, you can do it with one spray, although you will not apply many coats. However if you are not an expert we recommend using 2 sprays for an optimal finish.<\/p>\n

    What temperature should the guitar be at during and after the process?<\/h4>\n

    -For best results, we recommend applying it in a place where the temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees and the humidity is between 45% and 60%.<\/p>\n

    Where should I carry out the process?<\/h4>\n

    The Fender Blue Ice Metallic color is a very rare color in Fender, used in the mid 60’s in Telecaster and Jazzmaster guitars mainly and in some Stratocaster. It is an “ice” blue color, with the years the tone changes to greenish due to the yellowing of the aging of the nitrocellulose.
