NitorPOL Primer Application:<\/h2>\n

\u00b7 Dilution:<\/strong> Mix 2:1 with PU 100144112 catalyst and add 10% Nitorlack Solvent.<\/p>\n

We recommend using a spray gun with a 1.7 nozzle for primers.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Wood preparation:<\/strong> The wood must be uniform and free of imperfections. Sand progressively (240-400-800) always in the direction of the grain.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Application:<\/strong> Apply with a spray gun in several crossed coats until the surface is completely covered, avoiding applying too much product to prevent runs. Once dry, sand with P400 to ensure adhesion and level, then apply a new coat.<\/p>\n

Repeat the process until the surface is completely smooth and free of imperfections, ensuring the wood pore is closed.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Drying time:<\/strong> Allow at least 5-6 hours between coats. Final drying is achieved in 24 hours[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

What is a primer\/filler?<\/h3>\n

Primers, also known as fillers or sealers, are the varnish coats applied as preparation for the topcoat. These undercoats are very important in the guitar varnishing process. If you want a top-quality final finish on your instrument, it’s important to use a primer. The characteristics of a good primer include transparency, elasticity, ease of sanding, levelling, filling capacity, and fast drying.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Functions of polyurethane primers for guitars:<\/h3>\n

The main function of these primers is to fill and seal the pores or small imperfections that the wood may have, with the aim of achieving uniform and level surfaces. As a general rule, these primers should be formulated with agents that facilitate sanding with maximum transparency<\/strong> if they are clear varnishes, and with maximum elasticity<\/strong> so they don’t crack if they are white varnishes.<\/p>\n
